Obituary

Randy Lloyd, Panaseas
Panaseas Account Executive Randy Lloyd passed away in his sleep Friday, December 24, 2010 at the age of 54. Lloyd was in his fourth year at Panaseas International, a supplier of telecommunication products based in Houston. He died of a heart attack. Lloyd was a well-liked and respected member of the telecommunications community, and is remembered by his many customers for his knowledge of both products and people. Many customers appreciated that he took care to get to know people and their needs. “We are all feeling a profound sense of loss and shock at Lloyd’s passing,” said Brian Kiep, owner and president of Panaseas. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marynet, and 3 children: Courtney, Audrey and Eric and by his sister, Linda Stoll and two brothers, Terry and Marshall. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Maggie Lloyd, and brother, Russell Lloyd.

Zeacommunity 2011 seeks to meet changing needs of UC communities

Carousel Industries announces fifth acquisition in 24 months
Carousel Industries announced that it has acquired TAC Centre, a leading provider of Nortel communications solutions headquartered in Westwood, MA. The acquisition brings a strong base of Nortel customers into the Carousel fold, including a high concentration of healthcare and higher education customers across the nation. The acquisition also brings a number of senior engineers, all certified on a variety of technologies including Nortel, Microsoft, Cisco and Adtran. Michael Judge, President and CEO of TAC Centre will join Carousel as Director of Nortel Solutions. “This acquisition is particularly exciting for us because of the Nortel experience the TAC team brings to Carousel,” commented Jeff Gardner, Chief Executive Officer at Carousel Industries. “We have many customers with a blend of Avaya and Nortel products in their infrastructure. The acquisition of TAC Centre allows us to continue enhancing our delivery of Nortel support and services to our customers as they begin to migrate to the Avaya platform,” concluded Gardner.

Broadvox and Cypress complete merger
Broadvox and Cypress Communications announced the completion of their merger. The merged company will be identified as Broadvox, while retaining Cypress as a distinguished brand of the Broadvox service offerings. Tangoe designated as Leader in Magic Quadrant for TEM
