Computer Research, Inc. selects UC4 Workload Automation Suite
UC4 Software announced that Computer Research, Inc. (CRI) has selected UC4 Workload Automation Suite to integrate their enterprise IT workload across their company's IT landscape. UC4 Workload Automation Suite is an IT process automation and job scheduling software solution that integrates enterprise workload across a company's IT landscape. Companies can leverage UC4 for managing, monitoring, controlling and synchronizing business applications with IT infrastructure workload and creating intelligent, automated end-to-end IT processes.
Established in 1963 and serving customers from leading financial institutions, CRI offers a complete range of data processing services for the securities industry. CRI sought to replace its decade-old internal processing solution, which they had used natively on the IBM iSeries. CRI wanted a trusted partner that offered a scalable solution that could grow with the company. UC4 emerged as a natural choice because of its industry reputation. While currently using UC4 Workload Automation Suite for back-end processing, CRI plans to eventually use the system to manage their entire disaster recovery program.

Fax for VoIP
FaxBack enables Microsoft Fax for VoIP
FaxBack has developed a new VoIP fax plug-in that enables users of Windows operating systems the ability to send and receive faxes using Microsoft Fax when connected to a VoIP phone system. This capability was previously unachievable without expensive or complex hardware configurations. FaxBack’s VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft Fax provides a no cost, Microsoft based VoIP fax solution that adds further value to a company’s VoIP investments. VoIP systems include: Microsoft Response Point, local VoIP media gateways and VoIP Service Providers supporting SIP T.38. Routing inbound faxes to specific users with DID routing is straightforward with the Free Edition of the VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft Fax. By simply adding routing rules on your local VoIP media gateway, users will be able to automatically route inbound faxes directly to the intended recipient’s desktop. Users can also install the VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft Fax on their Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS) to provide a VoIP fax server that is always available to receive faxes to further enhance their Microsoft Fax solution. With the SBS version of the VoIP Fax Plug-in for Microsoft Fax, the Plug-in is installed on the SBS server instead of individual workstations.
The free plug-in is available at www.faxback.com/msfax/release.

Market
Research and Markets announces new report
Research and Markets has announced the addition of "Memory Applications, Packaging & Integration Trends 2009 Report: How 3-D integration will challenge and reshape the memory industry” to their offering. The memory semiconductor industry is about to go through a period of major technological changes as new integration trends and disruptive packaging technologies pave the way to the future growth of this industry.
Historically, the DRAM memory market has been mostly driven by computing applications, while NOR Flash has been mainly deployed into consumer and communication devices. More recently, NAND Flash memory has emerged as the most promising solid state storage solution for current consumer devices and is showing as the best candidate for hard disk drive replacement in the near future.
On the other hand, today wireless is growing and enabling new market segments everywhere, (smart-phones, mobile pocket computing devices). As a result, connectivity and integration are now new drivers to deal with. Demand for data is increasing everywhere. Current complexity and concurrency require more than ever higher data capacity, improved power consumption and is stressing existing well established architectures: new interconnects, integration schemes and packaging technologies are needed to support higher performance, breakthrough density and low power consumption devices. 3-D IC integration is showing as a major solution path to tackle these challenges and memories will be key components in achieving this successful integration. 3-D integration will open a new application space for memory market.
