CommScope emphasizes intelligence for next generation data centers
CommScope, Inc. exhibited its next generation SYSTIMAX iPatch Intelligent Infrastructure Solution at HP Technology Forum 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. CommScope’s hardware- and software-based SYSTIMAX iPatch solution delivers intelligence into the physical layer infrastructure and gives network managers in data center and enterprise environments a platform for controlling IT sprawl. In addition to demonstrating the SYSTIMAX iPatch solution, CommScope presented solutions from its SYSTIMAX, Uniprise and Andrew brands utilizing interactive touch screen technology. As part of the HP Technology Forum’s educational agenda, CommScope hosted a discussion on next generation data center design and its impact on cabling infrastructure. Tigerpaw Software enhances Australian presence
Tigerpaw Software, Inc. announced that Australian CRM consulting company Customer Centric Services (CCS), a Tigerpaw reseller, plans to launch Tigerpaw Quick Start, a program designed to help the average Tigerpaw user get a head start in deploying marketing, setting up a sales department, implementing service delivery and billing faster. Republic Services expands use of Kronos to 33,000 employees
Kronos Incorporated announced that Republic Services, Inc., a leading provider of waste collection, transfer and disposal services, has extended its use of the Kronos iSeries Central suite throughout more than 700 locations. Republic Services has used the Kronos iSeries Central suite to manage time and attendance processes for 11,000 employees for more than eight years. Following a merger with Allied Waste Services -- also a long-standing Kronos customer -- the decision was made to extend and upgrade the Kronos workforce management solution throughout its entire organization in an effort to control labor costs, minimize compliance risk and improve labor productivity. Republic Services uses a bi-directional interface to feed the Kronos labor data into the company's Lawson payroll system. In addition to extending its use of Kronos across all locations, Republic Services is also upgrading to the latest version of the iSeries Central suite, a reliable, scalable platform designed specifically for the IBM i5 server.

Former HP senior engineer to lead Nexergy Design engineering team
Nexergy announced that Neil Rohr has joined the company in the role of Vice President of Engineering. Rohr will lead Nexergy's team of electrical and mechanical engineers and project managers who develop battery systems for medical, military, industrial and commercial applications at their Product Development Center in Centennial, Colorado. Rohr's appointment is indicative of Nexergy's commitment to recruit and retain world class talent to design and produce leading edge energy solutions that improve our customers' product performance. Rohr most recently was the Director of Development Engineering for Hewlett Packard's Mobile Business Unit where he managed a group of over 30 domestic and international electrical and mechanical engineers and program managers. Prior to joining HP, Rohr was a lead systems design engineer with Texas Instruments Defense Systems Electronics Group. Rohr holds dual Bachelors degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Kansas State and Fort Hays State universities. He has also completed coursework at the Sloan School of management at MIT.
