ADTRAN's Total Access 5000 earns RUS Acceptance

Avaya Global Services VP speaks at TPSA Summit
Ken Kaisen, vice president of Consulting and Systems Integration for Avaya Global Services, co-presented with Dean McMann, CEO and Senior Partner, McMann and Ransford, at the Technology Professional Services Association (TPSA) Summit in Washington, D.C. TPSA is an organization for executives who create, produce, deliver, manage, measure and optimize technology services in the world's leading corporations. The Summit, themed "Aligning Professional Services," is focused on achieving total alignment between overall corporate strategy and the professional services strategy.  Kaisen and McMann discussed the transformation of Avaya's Professional Services business. An integral part of Avaya Global Services, the transformation was designed to re-align and strengthen the professional services group -- now known as the Consulting and Systems Integration (CSI) organization -- to help companies understand and implement the IP Telephony-based networking, applications and services that would put them on a path to Intelligent Communications. The presentation covered the steps from skills and needs assessments and through the end phases of the transformation.

Amitelo Group launches new low-cost, high quality IPBX product
Amitelo Afrique SA, the West African subsidiary of Amitelo AG, launched a new IPBX product for the African market, expecting a conservative sales figure of 20'000 units per annum. Pivot VoIP completes transformation into Zultys Technologies
Pivot VoIP announced that it has completed its acquisition of the assets of Zultys Technologies, including all key intellectual property, online and offline brands and the complete product portfolio. Effective immediately, the company will adopt the full identity of Zultys to ensure smooth business continuity. Pivot VoIP, which was formed and supported by Telrad Connegy, an Israeli-based PBX manufacturer with a 50-year involvement in the global telecom arena, will subsequently cease to exist. All of the operations of Zultys at its Sunnyvale, Calif., location are currently being restored. Telrad Connegy owner and Chairman Avi Weinrib will assume the role of President and CEO of the newly reorganized Zultys.  Mindful of its past achievements, Zultys will strive to maintain its high standing and solid reputation moving forward by stepping up partner relations with resellers and distributors alike to ensure their satisfaction. The transaction, conducted in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California in San Jose, has received all of the necessary approvals. The company bought the Zultys assets through a bankruptcy auction for a winning bid of $2.65 million, plus the assumption of certain debt obligations.

TheInfoPro research reveals only 5% of Fortune 1000 and mid-sized enterprises have IPv6 in use
TheInfoPro (TIP), a leading independent research network for the IT industry, released its latest Wave 2 Networking Report detailing technology adoption trends and timeframes, management techniques and trends, as well as network management strategies for the Networking sector. According to the study, only 5% of organizations interviewed have IPv6 in use today. The research also reveals that an additional 18% have expressed some interest in adopting IPv6 for their infrastructure in the next 12 to 18 months. The findings are derived from 126 hour-long interviews with TheInfoPro’s TIPNetwork of pre-screened Networking professionals from Fortune 1000 and mid-sized enterprises who provide expert commentary for TIP’s Networking studies.

Siemens teams with Tzero to deliver first ultra wideband solution for whole-home multimedia distribution
