Network Liquidators announces lifetime warranty
Network Liquidators has announced that it now offers its end user customers a lifetime warranty with its products, which begins on the day of shipment. The warranty pledges to keep all Network Liquidators’ 5-Star Certified products free from defects as long as the original purchaser maintains ownership or five years from the date a product is discontinued by the original manufacturer, whichever is sooner.  The warranty does not cover software products, key codes, extended warranty or service agreements and special order items. In the past, Network Liquidators had offered a one-year warranty on all merchandise. Network Liquidators is one of the nation’s largest sources for the purchase and sale of high quality pre-owned networking and telecommunications equipment from manufacturers such as Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, Avaya and Polycom.

Shadow Technology announces support for Avaya
Shadow Technology announced support for the Avaya Telephony Platform and Generic SIP for their market leading call recoding product, Call-Shadow. Call-Shadow is compatible with Avaya PBX models S8300, S8500, S8700 as well as IP Office 500. Call-Shadow is a sophisticated, distributed, easy to use low cost call recording software product that records VoIP calls using network sniffing. It does not require any CTI links with either Cisco CallManager or Avaya Communications Manager. Cost is approximately $350 per monitored phone. The latest release of Call-Shadow is available for download and can be used for 30 days. Shadow Technology is also seeking resellers globally.

IBM and NEC to deliver unified communications and collaboration to businesses around the world
NEC Corporation announced that it is working with IBM Corporation to deliver advanced unified communication and collaboration capabilities to businesses around the world. NEC will integrate its UNIVERGE IP communication servers with the IBM Lotus Sametime 8.0 collaboration platform, the industry's number one instant messaging software for enterprise customers.  With NEC’s UNIVERGE gateway module for IBM Lotus Sametime, companies using NEC’s UNIVERGE communication servers will be able to view online presence information and leverage click-to-call services from within a Lotus Sametime instant messaging chat, Web conference or IBM Lotus Notes email inbox.  This new integration uses the open Eclipse-based Lotus Sametime platform and the Lotus Sametime Telephony Conferencing Service Provider Interface (TCSPI) to support the convergence of voice and data. Businesses can gain click-to-call access by implementing NEC’s newly developed TCSPI interface plug-in software in the UNIVERGE gateway module for Lotus software.
